David Goodman: “Mike, what brings you to town?”

Mike Myers: “My agent and my manager live in New York so I’m here visiting. My annual visit.”

DG: “Do you come to the High Line often?”

MM: “I love the High Line and I try to come to the High Line every time I am in New York.”

DG: “What’s your favorite thing about the High Line?”

MM: “The genius of its repurposing. The recycling of the space. Taking something very old and making it ‘Jetsonian'."

DG: “Jetsonian! As in The Jetsons? What a great metaphor! With all the buildings coming up around us in the sky it really looks like that!”

MM: “Yeah. It’s everything I liked about Logan’s Run. I hope that the rest of the world takes note and repurposes what could be seen as urban blight into something that can be enjoyed by everybody.”

DG: “Mike, you’re one of the funniest guys on the planet. Is there anything funny about the High Line?”

MM: “Ummm… (thinks) Not really.”

DG: (laughing) “Still, you have me laughing.”

MM: “It’s all good!”
